Set Lunch @ SK2, Bandar Puteri Puchong

If you are around Bandar Puteri area, and you are not sure what to have for lunch, you might want to consider SK2, a simple restaurant with affordable set lunch, ranging from RM10.50 - RM18.90. They have Rice Set, Curry Rice Set and Noodle Set. Each set comes with an Iced Lemon Tea.

My hubby and I have just finished doing some errands around that area when we stumbled upon this cozy lil' restaurant. Not wanting to go any further looking for food, we decided to give it a try. You never know when you will find a gem in the sands, right?

Haha...Tho' this SK2 Restaurant is not a gem, it is still a good comfy restaurant to patronize.

My hubby regretted ordering this. Later only did he realized there are Butter Chicken Milk Rice Set or Marmite Chicken Rice Set in the menu. Those were his favourites dishes and we saw the next table ordering these, it looks really appetizing.

Pormtip Thai Restaurant @ 19 USJ City Mall, Subang Jaya

Me and my hubby, we loves Thai food, especially Tom Yam. We have never fail to try out any Tom Yam that we see on the way. And this time round, it's at 19 USJ City Mall.

Actually, we've tried their food long ago, when the restaurant was newly opened. The dishes were not bad, like their cashew nut chicken and fried belacan kangkung. Since we have tried those dishes before, we decided to try something else this time.

Too much of kicap, no belacan taste at all.

Kampong Fried Rice @ RM8.80/ small

Too much of kicap, no fried anchovies taste. Not much differences from Belacan Fried Rice. Both tasted bland. My hubby reluctantly finished his fried rice. But me, being a fussy eater, ate only a few spoonful. Yeah, it was that bad!

Pormtip Thai

Clean modern looking interior, Pormtip Thai is just next to Pot Luck Steamboat Restaurant.

And who say changes are good? Sometimes, it is better to stick to the foods that you are familiar with. But on second thought, if you don't take the risk, how would you know where to get good food next time!

Sawasde Thai Restaurant @ USJ 1, Subang Jaya

Lat week, me & my hubby went for a scrumptious authentic Thai feast at Sawasde Thai Restaurant with our friends. It was to celebrate one of old buddy's birthday. The reason we had choosen this restaurant was because we had purchased vouchers from them, well, to be exact, it was from Milkadeal.

...RM22/ pax instead of RM40 for any dishes from the a la carte menu Buffet-Style.Pork-free...

A week before that, my hubby saw a great deal from this restaurant at Milkadeal - "RM22/ pax instead of RM40 for Any Dishes from the A la Carte Menu at Sawasde Thai, Subang Jaya. 1 Pax. Buffet-Style. Pork Free". Without hesitation, my hubby quickly sent out an email to our old buddies, talking about this deal for our other buddy's birthday. We bought 12 vouchers when all had agreed on it.

It was so fun! Since it was a buffet style, we ordered like mad. In total, we've ordered about 40++ dishes of 23 varieties. The bill came up to RM1000++, but with the vouchers, it was only RM264. It was a super~licious great deal! We all had so much fun ordering and eating, and it is definitely the best deal we ever had! :) Thank you, Milkadeal!

If you've tried the authentic tom yam from thai, you will find this one a lot lower from your expectation. That is what happen here. Maybe others will find this one nice, but me & my hubby dislike it. I didn't even finish my bowl of soup.

My hubby said he likes my chicken feet kerabu better. I agreed! I am not trying o self-claim here, but my version is definitely better because I am generous on the ginger bud flower (bunga kantan), which makes the dish more fragrant and yummier.
